The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the actions of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading the secret base, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and warns that it is a hostile place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- But, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for Casimir.
Future Episodes
According to episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Planners groups.
Fans can anticipate finding out which characters will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
