David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
An official for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
